It's been about 10 years since I was on a bike if you don't count on very short functional ride to bring the new bike home two weeks ago. Got it started today and rode for about 30 minutes. Remembered why I like motorcycles, and also how inattentive most drivers are in a way you don't notice when you're in a car.

Very nice! Like the color....always been vaguely interested in BMW's - got to ride a friends S1000RR...very smooth, and frightening at the same time...

I thought about an S1000RR, sat on it, started it. It's a pants-pooper even without moving.

This is true. Riding is like playing a video game where everyone is trying to kill you but you only get 1 life. No restarts on this one.

Very nice. Um, what's that behind it?

That appears to be a Conti convertible

I want to know more about that.

I can only assume that's a custom color, it looks far to awesome to be standard.

Nope, Daytona Orange was a factory color.

Nice! It's right up there with Plum Crazy

Yup, R90S came in Daytona Orange, or black smoke, a similar fade paint job from black to silver.
Such an iconic bike. Would love to own an original, or re-create a modern version with the BMW R-NineT plus some mods and a half fairing.

Roland Sands Design/BMW Concept 90, yes please.
Simpler tank, cafe fairing seat, cast or forged wheels (spokes are fine, but very retro), and a bullet fairing. If it has the polycarbonate windscreen wrapped down over the headlight like that, all the better. All good improvements over the already good R-NineT.
I wish some of these parts (more than just the valve covers and alternator belt cover, etc) were available in the aftermarket.
At least there is are reflective LED headlights on the market, like Concept 90 had. R-NineT didn't get it, like R1200GS now optionally does.
